Norwich Technician – Ryan Demeulenaere selected as 2023 Territory Champion – John Deere Technician of the Year!

Excerpt from Brian Verbuyst, Aftermarket Manager presentation

In 2022, John Deere launched a new program called ‘Technician of the Year’ with the goal of highlighting and celebrating John Deere technicians who go above and beyond to service customers and be a role-model for their service team.   At Premier Equipment we are blessed to have many technicians that do outstanding work in service to our customers daily. Several qualifying technician nominations were put forward from the dealership along with several customer testimonials and submitted into the rigorous selection process with John Deere.

We are thrilled to announce that one of our very own technicians in Norwich has been awarded Technician of the Year for our Territory which covers Southwestern Ontario and includes about 28 locations and over 200 technicians.

Congratulations to Ryan Demeulenaere – who has been recognized as Territory Champion, Southern Ontario – John Deere Technician of the Year!

To be nominated for the program, technicians had to meet the base level training requirements as well as excel in all three pillars of leadership, customer service, and community service.

Ryan received two separate nominations.  Here are some highlights:

“Ryan has embodied our company’s virtues by being continuously Humble, Hungry, and Smart. His work ethic is unmatched, and he remains current with product knowledge, customer base, and team needs. Ryan makes a point of checking in with his peers to see how he can help them, regardless of their department. When an employee fell ill and was unable to attend work, Ryan went out of his way to check in to see if he could help them and their family in anyway. He continuously seeks out ways to improve his team’s output and looks for ways to improve the team’s spirit and morale. His commitment to junior employees ensures a strong rapport with them, establishing an environment which encourages growth, success, and trust.”

“Ryan has also been an active member in his community since his youth. His family has been working within the local farming community, so he has always learned the importance of community stewardship and service. These founding principles have carried into Ryan’s work ethic, ensuring he has a personal connection to the customers he serves, as he sees them as an extension of his family. This perspective gives him a unique drive to help push customer success which ultimately results in a thriving community.”

Ryan’s customers had this to say:

“Ryan’s work ethic is unparalleled. Neighbours enjoy his work. Ryan regularly services my combines and his knowledge of farming affords him unique skills”.

“Ryan has great problem-solving abilities and will stay late to ensure the job is finished”. The customer recalled one time that Ryan was called to their business to repair a piece of equipment during a winter storm. Despite the raging, frigid conditions, Ryan successfully completed the task at great personal discomfort. This commitment is why Ryan is personally requested by the customer.

A big congrats to you, Ryan on this great achievement.  We are proud to have you as part of the Premier Team!

In addition, our congratulations and recognition goes to other nominees from our Premier team!
